Since opening our doors in 2014, we’ve been on a crusade to showcase real Indian street food in the heart of the UK’s capital city. The idea is to bring the incredible taste of Indian street food that is eaten by Indians in their own home to the hustle and bustle of Merseyside.

Step inside our vintage banking hall to find high ceilings and our signature indoor swing seats set against massive arched windows. Whether you are looking for an exciting date night spot near Castle Street or a beautiful space for a family feast, our atmosphere is designed to transport you from the streets of Liverpool to the bustling, fairy-lit night markets of India.
How to Find Mowgli Water Street
Found near the historic Town Hall and the iconic Liverpool waterfront, our restaurant is perfectly positioned for those exploring the city’s rich maritime heritage. We are also right at the top of Castle Street, perfect for groups who are looking to swing by for a delicious meal as part of their day out in Liverpool City Centre.
By Train
We are easy to reach by rail. We are a 2 minute walk from James Street Station and a 6 minute stroll from Moorfields Station.
By Car
For those driving into the city, you can find convenient parking at the APCOA Water Street Car Park or the Q-Park Dale Street, both situated just a few minutes walk from our entrance.
On Foot from the Waterfront
From the famous Pier Head and the Liver Building, we are a 4 minute walk away. Mowgli provides the perfect relaxing break after a stroll around the Docks.
