Mowgli, Indian Restaurant in Nottingham

Hunkered on Stoney Street, our Nottingham home is a bit of a head-turner in its coat of pretty in pink. Inside, she is cool, restrained, and bohemian, with a grand, ornate staircase that leads you straight to Chat Bomb heaven. We’ve designed this space to transport you to the streets of Varanasi, where hanging ropes and vines entwine themselves around ancient temples and cobbled paths. Whether you are after a quiet corner for a soulful solo lunch or a lively tiffin feast with the whole gang, our doors are open at Mowgli Nottingham.

The Mowgli Trust

The Mowgli Story

A tale of a different kind of Indian restaurant in Nottingham

When we opened on Stoney Street, we wanted to introduce Nottingham to the reality of an Indian kitchen. We've brought those old-school recipes into the modern day in the Lace Market, creating a menu that’s light enough for a quick lunch but soulful enough for a big night out.

The Mowgli experience

What to expect

Walking into our Nottingham site feels like discovering an overgrown temple tucked inside a grand Victorian warehouse. Between the rhythmic creak of our indoor rope swings and the fairy lights climbing the walls, it’s a place where the noise of a busy tiffin feast is the best kind of soundtrack. Whether you’re hiding out in a wood-carved booth or perched on a swing watching the Lace Market wander by, we’re all about great food.
